The jitters I used to get after taking that were awful; inhalers are so much better. But I guess that explains why at track meets, when I couldn't breath & had no medicine, a coke helped some.Harmony's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17432818120979375064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37491865.post-36867732124318191342007-09-01T11:29:00.000-04:002007-09-01T11:29:00.000-04:00I would have thought, based on your screenname, th...I would have thought, based on your screenname, that you were a coffee drinker. ;)

Personally, I am a tea drinker -- but I almost always drink decaffeinated versions. Perhaps I ought to buy a few full caffeine varieties for situations such as this?Harmonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15105846442509828835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37491865.post-22409630896893273112007-08-31T19:45:00.000-04:002007-08-31T19:45:00.000-04:00I had the same experience with mild asthma as a ki...I had the same experience with mild asthma as a kid. I hated what the inhaler did to me. I am not a coffee drinker but I started drinking a lot of caffienated black tea as a teen, so maybe it was that which helped me get rid of my asthma.CappuccinosMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06707709617552413520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37491865.post-89051867525772679372007-08-31T05:35:00.000-04:002007-08-31T05:35:00.000-04:00My husband was stung by a yellow jacket the other ...My husband was stung by a yellow jacket the other night and I made a paste of a little baking soda and water and applied it, thickly, on the sting, then I put a band-aid over it. The next day, you couldn't tell he had been stung.
:-DGinnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17135591930894431069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37491865.post-9329384048926461292007-08-30T14:33:00.000-04:002007-08-30T14:33:00.000-04:00My husband's nephew has asthma, and he, too, recei...My husband's nephew has asthma, and he, too, receives some relief from coffee. It's an interesting remedy.

I eat ginger Altoids when a migraine makes me nauseous. Ginger ale can help a bit, but I find Altoids to be much better, and I can carry them in my purse.Anne Marie@Married to the Empirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16600919522369171555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37491865.post-16845842340625571392007-08-30T13:16:00.000-04:002007-08-30T13:16:00.000-04:00Pretty much any form of hot pepper helps with cold...Pretty much any form of hot pepper helps with colds. The hotter, the better! ;-) In particular, gargling with red pepper in water every hour or so has been proven to shorten the course of severe sore throats, even when they are resistant to antibiotics.Alanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14077883273809275431noreply@blogger.com
