Poor Luna

As you can see, Luna is now home - and not exactly looking her best. The satellite-dish collar she's wearing did not come home with her yesterday, but she spent way too much time last night (we're talking laaate last night) licking at her incision, so this morning I went to the vet and picked it up. Can you tell she doesn't really like it? ;-)

Poor puppy. At least she seems to be recovering well. Aside from being spayed, she was also microchipped and had a few retained baby teeth extracted. There was no sense in putting her under more than once, but I'm sure this recovery is no picnic to her. She hasn't really been interested in drinking since she came home, although she will lick off some water from my fingers if I offer them to her.

But at least she's going to be ok. That's really the most important thing, and we are very grateful for those of you who prayed for her - as silly as it may have felt to pray for the health of a dog.

Oh, poor little girl... she does look like she had a rough time of it. I'm glad she's all right, and at least she's got a good Mama to care for her while she recovers. :-)

Aww....poor Luna. I'm glad that she's home though and having a good recovery.

    She is getting big! =)

Glad she's ok. Although she looks a little bit mean in that picture... I wouldn't want her looking at me like that!

Luna seems to think it was an aggressive face, too. When we posted her picture on the full computer screen, she started growling at it! Unfortunately, she didn't keep doing it long enough for us to capture it on camera.

Of course, it's most likely that was still a bit 'hung over'. She's had some trouble keeping her eyes all the way open the last 24 hours.

aww...poor luna :( We had our little kitty Claira spayed a week ago today...I felt like a " new worried mom" all over again:( Alas, she is doing very well and was acting like her normal mischevious self in just a day or two:) I bet mis Luna will be the same!

Awww... I can see it in her eyes that she doesn't feel well right now. I'm so glad that her surgery went well, though.

I don't think it's silly at all to pray for animals. I asked for prayer for my cat last week while he was having a procedure. And I have to say, God has answered some interesting prayers I've offered up on behalf of various animals. I love seeing his faithfulness even on behalf of lesser creatures.

Awww. She doesnt' look happy. Poor thing.

She reminds me a lot of my parents dog. Only their dog is black. But she gets the same pathetic look after a haircut. :p
