WFMW - Motivation to Clean House

When the house is getting messy, there's one surefire way to ensure it gets clean - invite someone over. I have found that keeping my home full of guests also serves the purpose of keeping the house company-clean.
And the converse is also true: the times when I know we won't be having visitors are the times when my house is the messiest.
Just another reason why hospitality is a very good thing. It works for me!

ME too!! Or recently having to show are rental house because it also is for sale. I finally stopped panicking and am glad to have some motivation. (-:

I agree with you completely! In fact my MIL is coming to babysit my kids tonight while my husband and I have meetings and I have been cleaning all morning!!!
So true. My problem is AFTER they leave I don't feel like cleaning up!

Yep! If you want your house REALLY clean...make an appt for a social worker to swing by the house....the 1st time we did that I cleaned out places in my house I didn't know existed lol. I then made a POINT to open all my closets to show her how clean they were. She said "um..If your kids are not sleeping in your closets I really don't need to see them."
