here's me being a present.
here's daddy trying to look like me.
i like Christmas time. there are lots and lots of people all the time!
What a sweet family you all make! I've been reading through your archives over the past few days, and I am really enjoying myself! This is a great blog!
I am also in an interracial marriage--I'm white, my husband is Vietnamese. It's so interesting to read about the cultural differences between your families--I can relate to a lot of what you write.
We live in NYC and have "wild and crazy" left-wing political leanings. :-) I just wanted to write to you to tell you how much I enjoy your blog, despite our extreme differences. It is interesting, engaging, and funny! You both seem like such incredibly kind people. I love reading it and seeing your pictures, and I love learning from people who have such a different lifestyle that we have. It really makes me realize that we all have more in common than we think! Sometimes you just have to look a little deeper to find it.
So thanks for writing this great blog! It's so much fun! :-)
P.S. Hope you don't mind a comment from a radical lefty! :-)
Samantha,
Thanks for reading and leaving a comment. Sitemeter was saying that someone was spending lots of time reading our blog, so maybe that was you.
No, of course I don't mind that a radical lefty reads here ;) Your's was the most pleasant comment I've ever gotten from a radical lefty (although admittedly, those are not many) We ourselves have disagreements with the right, and on certain points, I even agree with some atheist sentiments! (on some separation of church and state issues) Besides, the world would be much less of a pleasant place if we always focused only on what our differences are.
How did you get to our blog? I'm always curious how people get here.
Also to Samantha,
It's nice to see a lefty who actually seems to appears (?) to be "liberal" in the true sense of the word (i.e. accepting and open-minded).
Interesting point about the true meaning of the word "liberal." You're right--it does mean open-minded, and in my experience lefties generally come across as much more closed-minded. I'm not sure why that is. It feels so elitist to me.
I found your blog by clicking on a comment you left on another blog. I'm sorry, I can't remember which one! I sometimes click on an interesting comment to see if the person has their own blog. Although rarely do I get hooked in the way I did with yours! :-)
