Six Quirky Things about JunkMale
My wife tagged me to do this quirky thingy.
* Link the person who tagged you (done).
* Mention the rules in your blog (doing).
* Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours (will do).
* Tag a new set of six following bloggers by linking them (will do).
I notice it says unspectacular. Perhaps I will ignore that rule. Or perhaps I won't, if I don't find any unspectacular quirks about me.
- Before I met Harmony, the only kind of macaroni and cheese I'd ever had was the Kraft kind. We don't call the Kraft kind "macaroni and cheese" anymore; we call it "Kraft" or "cheesy noodles."
- When I was younger, I wanted to learn to play the flute, a stereotypically "female" instrument. For whatever reason, it never worked out.
- I am horrible at playing computer games against other humans. It stresses me out because I always get killed or beaten. I prefer to play against the computer.
- Breaking the typical man-ish way of dealing with things, I initially tend to want to talk about my problems rather than clam up.
- Aside from fish, I've never had meat more fresh than what comes from a grocery store. Hopefully that will change, come Labor Day 2008; our preacher is organizing a pit barbeque, at my behest (more on that later).
- I am (unfortunately) quite a city boy; my grandmother-in-law probably knows more about hard labor, building things, and power tools than I do. I aim to change this at whatever chances I get.
I don't know how long this quirky thing has been passed along, so if you have already been double or triple tagged, consider yourself motivated.

I notice that I tagged all female bloggers. Don't we have any man readers except for Harmony's dad? How can I know you exist if you rarely comment and have never linked to our blog? Does this blog not really attract any Y-chromosomal readership? Show yourselves, men!
I feel quite special to have been tagged! I actually did this one a few months ago. You can read it here if you're interested: http://marriedtotheempire.blogspot.com/2008/01/my-first-meme.html
Ooh, thank you for tagging me! I love being tagged. I feel like I have posted something similar to this on my xanga before, so I will post it here for the JM family and your readership.
Finding quirky things about me is not too hard - I'll try not to make them all about hygiene. =) Here we go....
1) I cannot stand being near public trash cans. I have to find some way to throw trash away in them without touching the lid with my bare hands. If they don't have lids - score!
2) I do not like sitting on the inside when sitting in restaurant booths - I prefer sitting on the "aisle" seat. The window seat on airplanes don't bother me, though.
3) I have to start out sleeping at night on my stomach - eventually I will turn over onto my back.
4) I love generic/store brands of Cheerios MUCH better than the actual General Mills Cheerios.
5) I disinfectant things every day......but I only occasionally dust things (unlike my mom).
6) At the Wal-Mart I go to, they do not have shopping cart handle wipes (like they do at Publix) - so I bring my own.
Okay, I did it. Thanks for the tag.
