Politically Incorrect Dining
About once a month, Harmony and I actually go out to eat. Yes, as in, we get in the car, travel elsewhere, and outsource our food preparation to complete strangers. We take these opportunities to sample various non-chain restaurants in the area. One restaurant that caught our attention was one that advertised itself with an American flag logo and the phrase "Burgers Done Right."
Turns out that this place is called Right Wing Tavern. Although a place named as such might not do well in other parts of the country, it is apparently doing just fine here in Georgia. What we found the most interesting (hilarious) was the menu. It is available at the website, but I will copy some of our favorite menu item names here:
The Protester Grilled vegetable flatbread pizza with marinara and feta cheese.
The Kennedy Shaved roast beef with sauteed onions and mushrooms topped with monterrey jack and au jus for drowning.
Condoleeza Rice Pilaf
Weeknight Features:
Wednesday Immigration Reform Night - All-you-can-eat nachos.
Thursday FEMA Night! - 1/2 dozen Gulf Coast raw oysters and an Abita draft.
How politically incorrect...I love it. Harmony and I had the Schwarzenegger, her's with freedom fries. Schwarzenegger could've used a bit more pesto. If there is a next time, I think I'll get a burger, done right.
I was surprised to see that they didn't have Bush, considering they had dropped-out Republican candidates like Romney and Thompson. I had some ideas for an Obama - undercooked veal sprinkled with equal amounts of black and white pepper...or however you want it. McCain, I'm not sure, but it would involve really old cheese and totally random ingredients (representing his totally random voting record).
Does anyone have creative ideas for what would a Bush or Hillary would be?
Hillary would be toast. Maybe with whine and cheese. Or, maybe chopped liver.
Bush would be raw meat (thrown to the hungry dogs in the press).
I think Hillary would have something to do with "sour grapes"
I like Alan's ideas.
Oh wow. I would so go to that restaurant!! Sounds great!
